Miranda College cheats during Tarikh 2009

We went for the collage making event at Miranda House (a college in Delhi University) on 18-09-09 (Friday). It was the history department fest named “Tarikh”. But trust me it was an experience which no fresher should undergo, it was heartbreaking and depressing. We (me and my friend Priyata) had worked day and night for this event. But the people of Miranda are such tricksters; they appreciated our works thinking that we belong to their college but on knowing that we are from LSR there attitude towards us changed drastically. At the end moment they declared that we are not allowed to explain what we’ve tried to portray in our collage. And on top of that they changed the topic as well for the judges from “Imagining women now and after” it became “Imagining women now and ten years after”.
Off course we did not win, how could we when it had already been decided that anyone except LSR should win!! I knew people from Miranda had an inferiority complex from LSR people, but they would go to this extent I could never believe it unless I faced it myself. If you are a fresher like me and love participating in extra curricular activities then take my advice don’t ever go to Miranda for any competition as you will certainly loose it if they hold grudges against your college.
